Courses

The courses in this curriculum were developed by the Laboratory Animal Training Association (LATA) to specifically meet the policies of the Public Health Service (PHS) on training in the humane care and use of laboratory animals. Course titles are as follow;

Regulatory - Courses discuss topics that include laws, regulations, ethics, alternatives, IACUC and staff responsibilities, and information sources.

Species - Courses discuss topics that include housing, social needs, nutrition, health considerations, handling, restraint, experimental techniques, environmental practices and euthanasia.
